| Levitra
was developed by Bayer and GlaxoSmith Kline as a atreatment
for Male Erectile Dysfuntion and was launched in the
US in 2003. The active ingredient in Levitra is Vardenafil
HCI which acts in a similar way that Sildenafil Citrate
does. However, Levitra is faster acting, reaching maximum
concentration in around 30 minutes, with the effects
lasting about 16 hours. All tablets sold on this site
are Generic Levitra ( full strength 20mg dose ) and
contain the same ingredients and perform in a similar
way to its more expensive counterpart produced by Bayer.
INFORMATION ABOUT GENERIC LEVITRA 20MG
Two chemicals are produced by the male body whilst
sexually aroused – Cyclic GMP which causes the
muscles in the arterial wall of the penis to relax
allowing blood to flow in and phosphodiesterase type
5 (PDE-5) which decreases erections. Generic Levitra
contains an ingredient called Vardenafil HCI which
acts as a PDE-5 inhibitor. However, there are biochemical
differences between Sildenafil ( Viagra / Kamagra
) and Vardenafil HCI. Vardenafil HCI is a more efficient
enzyme inhibitor, so only a small amount of the drug
is necessary. As with all other treatments for E.D.
sexual stimulation is required in order for Generic
Levitra to become effective. It is recommended that
no more than one 20mg tablet is taken in any 24 hour
period.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS OF GENERIC LEVITRA
Normally, side effects arising from the use of Generic
Levitra are mild and can include flushed face, dizziness,
headache, upset stomach, indigestion and runny nose.
Vision changes i.e. seeing things with a bluish tinge
does not occur with the use of Generic Levitra. Also,
priapism ( erections that last several hours )as a
result of using Generic Levitra is a very rare side
effect. If it occurs, seek immediate medical advice.
PRECAUTIONS BEFORE TAKING GENERIC LEVITRA
Generic Levitra must be used under a doctors supervision.
It is strongly recommended that you seek medical advice
(all instances) to establish if your heart is healthy
enough for sexual activity. Most importantly Generic
Levitra should never be taken if you take any medicines
that contain nitrates. Nitrates are commonly contained
in drugs for the treatment of Angina. Examples of
these are Nitroglycerin, Isosorbide Mononitrate and
Isosorbide Dinitrate. Nitrates can also be found in
recreational drugs such as Amyl Nitrate (known as
Poppers). If you are unsure what nitrates are or need
to establish if any medicines you are taking contain
nitrates consult your doctor. Taking Generic Levitra
with any medication containing nitrates can cause
blood pressure to drop to an unsafe level. Possible
effects can be dizziness, heart attack or stroke.
If you have ever suffered from any of the following
conditions inform your doctor before taking Generic
Levitra:
- Kidney / Liver Problems
- Heart Conditions (e.g. Irregular Heart Beat, Chest
Pain, Heart Attack, Angina or Narrowing of the Aortic
Valve)
- High / Low Blood Pressure
- Stroke
- An Inherited Eye Condition called Retinitis Pigmentose
- Any Blood Problems such as Leukaemia or Sickle
Cellanemia
- Penis deformity such as Peyronies Disease
- An erection lasting more than 4 hours
- Allergy to Vardenafil
Also, seek medical advice if you are taking alpha
blockers. Your doctor can then inform you if it is
safe to take Generic Levitra tablets, and if so, the
appropriate dose. All Generic Levitra tablets sold
on this site are full strength 20mg. Smaller doses
can be achieved by splitting the pills. Under no circumstances
should Generic Levitra be taken more than once a day.
Generic Levitra should NEVER be taken by women or
by children under the age of 18. |
